FAW Jiefang Dalian Diesel Engine Plant – Pre-acceptance of Custom Non-Standard Extraction Unit Successful
On November 9, 2022, in accordance with the strategic deployment of FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd., the former FAW Jiefang Engine Business Unit and FAW Jiefang Transmission Business Unit were integrated to establish the FAW Jiefang Powertrain Business Unit (hereinafter referred to as the “Business Unit”), which serves as a key business unit within FAW Group’s commercial vehicle segment. The Business Unit has operations in Wuxi, Changchun, and Dalian, with its headquarters located in Wuxi. It employs more than 8,800 people and offers a comprehensive portfolio of products, including commercial vehicle engines, transmissions, axles—its three core powertrain assemblies—as well as brake components and other related parts. Since its establishment, the Business Unit has developed an integrated, end-to-end industrial operating system and has been recognized with major honors such as the First-Class National Award for Scientific and Technological Progress and the Second-Class National Award for Scientific and Technological Progress. Additionally, it was among the first batch of pilot demonstration projects for intelligent manufacturing designated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In 2022, the division sold 206,000 engines, 135,000 transmissions, and 310,000 axles. Looking ahead, the division will earnestly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks during his inspection of FAW Group, striving to become a world-class, China-leading provider of intelligent powertrain solutions for commercial vehicles. On May 15, 2023, our company won the bid on FAW’s international tender platform for the project: “Co-assembly of 50,000 units of the new 13L and M-series engines—Cleanliness Room: 13L cylinder block and cylinder head cleaning and filtration equipment.”

Equipment Name: Cleaning and Filtration Equipment
Our company provides custom-designed, non-standard extraction machines that your company uses for cleanliness control of cylinder blocks and cylinder heads.
Our company has custom-designed this equipment to integrate high-pressure perfusion, high-pressure rinsing, spray washing, ultrasonic cleaning, and on-line filtration and membrane formation for cleaning agents, along with recirculating fine filtration and recovery—all in one system. This enables simultaneous part cleaning and the filtration and recovery of particulate contaminants, allowing particulate pollutants on the part surfaces to be promptly collected on the filter membrane. Given that individual workpieces typically weigh an average of 300 kg each, our custom-designed rotary arm is employed to rotate and transfer the parts into the cleaning chamber, thereby minimizing manual intervention and effectively addressing the significant challenge posed by heavy, difficult-to-clean and extract parts.
Our company completed the pre-acceptance of the cleaning and filtration equipment manufactured in accordance with the customer’s requirements on August 26, 2023, at our facility, and conducted on-site training for the operating personnel.
